Author Biographies

At this time, I am the sole author of this future story. Please contact me if you seriously wish to contribute.

Diane S. Carlisle

Diane is a software developer at The Florida Bar. She moved to Tallahassee from Albany, Georgia,  when recruited in August 2000. Her husband of 25 years joined her in the Sunshine State shortly afterward, when he retired from the United States Marine Corps in April 2001. They have raised two children and now spend their time caring for two English bulldogs, a Yorkshire terrier and their adopted cat, Precious.

Diane is a graduate of Park University in Parkville, Missouri, with a degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics. She recently obtained a certification in fiction writing from Gotham Writer’s Workshop. She is a member of the Tallahassee Writers Association, The Florida Writers Association and a board member for the local Toys for Tots & Friends Network.

Her hobbies include writing, photography, boating and online text-based role-playing games. Over the past 10 years, her gaming characters have been involved in politics, social networks, clans and religious sects. Conflict role-play is what inspired her to write fiction and she aspires to publish a full-length novel someday, possibly in the form of a detective mystery.

Diane has been active in the blogging community since 2009 and is the author of “Are We There Yet?” A blog about making progress, whether in her personal life, with her writing endeavors or in her professional career as an IT expert, it is a place where she spends much of her time writing and sharing. She has written poetry, flash fiction, short stories and dialogue snippets between God and a character she developed named Karma.

Her personal goals and objectives are to become more involved in the writing community by sharing her time with like-minded friends and associates.Diane Carlisle
